GMHBA has partnered with smile.com.au to give members with dental extras access to lower dental fees at participating dentists. You do not need to purchase a separate Smile membership or bring a separate Smile card. Simply present your GMHBA membership card at your appointment.

Smile reduces the treatment fee before any eligible GMHBA benefit is calculated. GMHBA advertises savings of 15–40% off dental fees through the network, with savings varying between dentists. Ask for a quote before treatment to understand your costs.

How Does GMHBA Work With Smile?

When booking at West Perth Dental Centre, let our team know you have GMHBA dental extras. Bring your membership card so we can identify your eligibility for Smile fees. Your dentist can discuss recommended care and provide a treatment quote before you proceed.

The Smile fee reduction and your insurance benefit are separate. GMHBA decides what it pays according to your policy, treatment item numbers and remaining limits. You are responsible for any amount not covered by your benefit.

Smile fee reductions can still apply during dental waiting periods or when benefits are unavailable. This does not remove GMHBA’s waiting periods, exclusions or limits. Check your cover directly with GMHBA before treatment, particularly for major dental care
