HBF Preferred Provider in West Perth
We want to make paying for your dental needs as easy and convenient as possible, which is why we accept HBF. HBF is one of Australia’s largest national health funds, offering a wide range of cover options to suit your individual needs.
With a community of over 1.1 million people, HBF will take care of you. They offer insurance for dental services, big and small, so no matter what type of treatment you need, they have you covered.
HBF also offers a great range of cover extras to get the most out of your membership.

Why Pay More When You Can Pay Less with HBF
HBF has looked after Australians’ health for over 80 years. HBF provides a wide range of cover options to meet your needs, including hospital, extras, and combination insurance. They also provide low-cost insurance for young singles and families so that you may benefit the most from your membership.
Unlike other health insurers who have shareholders to please, HBF is a not-for-profit organisation. This allows them to reinvest their profits into the company so that premiums remain low and benefits increase.

How Does HBF Work?
If you have an HBF health fund, you can use it to cover the cost of your treatment. Book an appointment with West Perth Dental Centre and present your HBF member card. After your treatment, our dental staff will swipe your card through the HICAPS terminal to send your claims electronically. Depending on your insurance coverage, you may have to pay a gap fee.
Depending on the specifics of your cover, HBF may also help pay for orthodontic treatment. However, HBF does not cover all treatments. For example, dental health insurance typically does not cover cosmetic dentistry procedures, like teeth whitening and veneers.
Your insurance policy will cover a certain amount of your treatment each year. For example, if you have a $350 annual limit, it can be used to cover up to $350 worth of dental treatment annually. The remaining payment (the gap amount) will need to be covered by you out-of-pocket.

Eligibility for HBF Requirements
To join HBF, you must be at least 18 years old, live in Australia, and wait out the waiting periods for the cover you want, or be an eligible dependent of a member.
